Job Posting: Certification Coordinator
We are looking for a driven and dynamic individual to take on the role of Barreworks Certification Coordinator to help expand the program both locally and abroad. This position will begin late fall with a three month probationary period from the date of hire. Our ideal candidate possesses strong oral and written communication skills, a confident, initiative taking mindset, and thrives when forming connections with others.

Job Type: Part-time (10 hrs per week with room to expand)
Salary: $19/hr plus bonuses
Founded in 2012, Barreworks was the first Toronto studio to specialize in ballet barre-based fitness classes. Their technique was developed by a team of local dance and fitness professionals, all dedicated to the creation of a safe, effective, and fun exercise system. Barreworks is a locally owned and operated business, with two studio locations: their flagship at Queen and Bathurst, and their boutique location at Yonge and Eglinton.
We are seeking a Certification Coordinator to help manage and grow Barreworks’ world-class teacher training program and continuing education courses. This position is part-time, with an expectation for both in-studio and remote work. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of all daily operational aspects of the certification program, including being the key point of contact for all program participants, coordinating studio bookings, driving marketing efforts, initiating and maintaining community outreach and expanding the program locally and abroad. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, excellent communication and organizational skills and must be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Expanding awareness of the Certified by Barreworks teacher training course and continuing education courses both locally and abroad through:
Marketing efforts (e-mail outreach, social media support) with the assistance of the Communications Director
Community outreach (being a spokesperson for the certification program when visiting schools, other studios etc…)
Planning and managing events (certification informational sessions, pop-up classes etc...)
Overseeing and promoting course registration (both Certified by Barreworks and Continuing Education Courses)
Building community partnerships and prepping gift bags for participants
Keeping all necessary course documents updated
Timely communication with the Barreworks management team
Communicating with participants and ensuring they have all necessary information in lead up to each certification session
Ensuring past participants keep their certificates valid by communicating with them to complete their continuing education courses on time
Coordinating studio usage for participants to film as required
Setting up privates for participants with Master Trainers as needed
Coordinating out-of-town certification sessions
A post-secondary degree
An innovative mindset and desire to build connections with others, with the goal of expanding the certification program both locally and abroad
Strong oral and communication skills
Experience working in the health and wellness or fitness industry (ideal but not required)
Strong business acumen
An outgoing, confident and personable personality
An ability to work both independently and collaboratively
A self-starter mentality
1-2 years of marketing/social media experience (ideal but not required)
Strong organizational skills
Comfortable working remotely and in-studio
