What made you decide you wanted to teach at Barreworks? I decided to become a Barreworks instructor because I wanted to develop my current knowledge of barre and how to teach. I love the Barreworks method because it is adjustable for everyone and their individual needs, and focuses on a full body workout in a way that lengthens AND strengthens. And of course, I also love that it is inspired by techniques that are often used for dancers!

What do you love most about teaching? What I love most about teaching is seeing how I can have such a powerful and positive influence on my clients. I love observing their progress and watching them grow, it’s so rewarding.

What keeps you motivated/feeling positive on days when your body feels tired and your energy is low? My gratitude for an able body and the ability to reach achieve new goals each day is what keeps me motivated, even on the toughest days.

How do you want your students to feel when they leave your classes? How do you help them achieve that? I want my clients to feel rejuvenated when they leave my class. I hope that they will be proud of their accomplishments and also motivated to keep pushing for more.

What would you say is your greatest strength as an instructor/how will this positively impact your students? Personally, I feel my greatest strength as an instructor is my optimism. I like to always see the silver lining in any situation (even challenging workouts), and I feel that this will help clients to push themselves without taking anything too seriously - its all about enjoying what you do.

What were your favourite moments of the Barre Certified by Barreworks program? My favourite moments from the certification training were getting to know the master trainers and new hires. It was nice to develop a relationship that now makes me feel well integrated into the Barreworks team!

What would you say to people trying Barreworks for the first time? Smile, embrace the challenge, keep at it for self development and results!
